MEET THE FOUNDERS

two sisters. one mission

We’re two sisters from PG County who got tired of watching Black businesses struggle in silence. We’ve been there — trying to build something great with limited resources, little guidance, and a whole lot of trial and error. We’ve launched businesses, failed, bounced back, and figured it out the hard way. That’s why we created Mob the Block — to make sure other entrepreneurs don’t have to walk this journey alone. Mob the Block was created by sisters Melissa Lewis and LaRhonda Stevenson to drive real support for Black-owned businesses through action, education, and community power. As the co-founders of Lewis Family Investment Group and Studio Heir, we know what it means to build from the ground up. And we believe that when Black businesses have support, strategy, and visibility — they don’t just survive, they thrive.

We’re just getting started, but the energy is real and the momentum is building.

Mob the Block is our way of pouring back into the same community that raised us. It’s more than a movement — it’s heart work. It’s legacy.

From surprise shopping mobs to business bootcamps and entrepreneur classes, our work is rooted in visibility, impact, and ownership. We’re building a movement where Black businesses thrive, communities are empowered, and economic freedom is within reach.

This is more than support. It’s the BLUEPRINT.
